Adjustment of Exposure Standards for Extended Workshifts
Description
Adjustment for rest periods following longer than standard shift. (Eight hours.) Three individual models have been developed to calculate this rest period extension, Brief and Scala Model, OSHA Model an the Pharmacokinetic Model. These models have become increasingly important with the switch to twelve-hour shifts. Each model works on different parameters and has its respective advantages and drawbacks.
